Kids
Jiu-Jitsu

Self-discipline, self-respect and the confidence to stand up to bullies — in fun, caring classes designed around how children actually learn.

Taught by a certified educator

More than
jiu-jitsu.

Beyond being a competitor and instructor, Professor Tom DeBlass holds a dual certification in Elementary and Special Education from Monmouth University. As a certified teacher, he understands the many ways children learn, think and progress.

Our specially designed kids classes build self-respect, discipline and fitness — emphasizing the self instead of the opponent. Kids learn to control their feelings, overcome their weaknesses, and above all, to not quit.

Why train with us

Confidence to stand up to bullies

Your child’s confidence grows as they learn how to deal with conflict. Our instructors teach kids how to handle verbal and physical confrontations.

Discipline & self-respect

Structure, focus and respect — for themselves and for others. Skills they can apply for the rest of their lives.

Fit, coordinated, happy

Kids stay active and build coordination in a fun, family-oriented room.

Your first class

Nervous is normal. Everyone on the mat started exactly where you are.

What to bring

Athletic clothes and water. If you don’t have a gi for your first class, athletic wear is fine — walk in and we’ll find you one.

What to expect

A warm welcome, a structured warm-up, technique broken down step by step, and light, supervised practice at your own pace. Arrive 10–15 minutes early.

No experience?

Perfect. We pay special attention to those with no previous experience. You’ll get in shape as you train — no need to get fit first.
